TURN (verb) TURN THE LOCK NUT ON THE FITTING. Thread the lock nut on the fitting.
threaded (adjective) THREAD (Technical noun) PUT THE END OF THE ROD THAT HAS A THREAD IN THE FITTING. Put the threaded end of the rod in the fitting.
