inside (preposition) IN (preposition) THERE MUST BE LUBRICANT IN THE HOLE. There must be lubricant inside the hole.

instead (adverb) ALTERNATIVE (noun) USE A SPATULA AS AN ALTERNATIVE. Use a spatula instead.
instead of (preposition) ALTERNATIVE (noun) YOU CAN USE A CLEAN PLASTIC BAG AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE SPECIFIED CONTAINER. You can use a clean plastic bag instead of the specified container.
